In September 2024, the City asked for public input to help shape functional plans for a new all-ages Activity Centre to be developed in Rutland beside Lions Park. The community responded and the City created a what we heard from the community report.
The City will plan, design, and build a space that reflects what Rutland residents need and want, with the functional plan recommending several key amenities, including multi-use activity space, a multi-program room, a community living room, and a community kitchen. The new all-ages Activity Centre in Rutland will offer multi-generational programs, with the potential to include a 91-space childcare centre if a Provincial grant is secured.
