Urban Centres Future Directions Report Endorsed

The report was endorsed on Sept 8, 2025 and will guide planning for our five Urban Centres. More detailed actions plans for each Centre will follow.

The City is working on two projects to improve quality of life, housing options, and transit service in Kelowna’s Urban Communities:

  • Transit Supportive Corridor prezoning pilot study
  • A framework to help guide planning decisions in each of our five Urban Centres: Rutland, Pandosy, Downtown, Midtown and Capri-Landmark.

Residents were asked to share their priorities for Transit Supportive Corridors (TSCs) and identify strengths, challenges, and opportunities in the Urban Centres. Public input, along with technical analysis, existing policies and plans, best practice and financial feasibility shaped recommendations for both projects.
