Ki Low Na Friendship Society & Central Okanagan Foodbank

16 November 2017

Community organizations like the Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society and the Central Okanagan Foodbank act as a safety net, supporting those in need to help prevent homelessness. They are essential to Journey Home’s vision to have a clear place to go for support if someone is about to lose or has lost their home.

Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society offers more than 30 culturally appropriate programs that support the community from preventing homelessness through to assisting people into housing.

The Central Okanagan Foodbank serves up to 3,500 Kelowna residents per month. Thirty-three per cent are children under the age of 15. Twelve per cent are seniors.

Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society and the Central Okanagan Foodbank are just two of more than 50 community partners that are working to help prevent and address homelessness.
