Safety is fundamental to a healthy community. It underpins wellbeing, economic vitality, and our quality of life. That’s why Council has made public safety a top priority for the City and that is reflected through Council’s significant investments in the past few years, both financially and through staff time and actions.
We’re seeing signs of improvement overall, but we know some neighbourhoods and businesses are facing acute issues right now - property crime and social disorder - that demand focused attention.

On January 27, the City of Kelowna hosted an in-person forum for the business community to share their thoughts and priorities on safety, hear from City leaders, RCMP, and Provincial partners about efforts underway, and ask questions.
