Is the Shepherd Road extension for buses only, or open to the public? If open to the public, what are you doing about getting onto Rutland Road and turning left? Why no more baseball fields at the Rutland Park? Another thing where are the people going to the hall parking?

Peggy W2 asked about 2 years ago

Hello. Shepherd Rd. extension between Roxby Rd. and Rutland Rd. will be open to motorists and will include the Rutland Transit Exchange. There will be a new signalized intersection at Shepherd Rd. and Rutland Rd., which will allow for left turning onto Rutland Rd. Regarding the baseball fields, three preliminary concept plans were prepared in 2014 and received public input through the Rutland Parks Society where the baseball fields were proposed as an option, however the preferred Master Plan was a combination of options one and two shown here: https://www.kelowna.ca/sites//files/1/docs/parks-rec/2015_rutland_centinneal_parkopenhouse_panels.pdf. You will be able to see there is still room for parking by looking at the maps from the 2018 information session panels: https://www.kelowna.ca/sites/files/1/docs/related/rutland_transit_exchange_panels.pdf.
