Official Community Plan 2040: Our Kelowna as we Grow
Introduction: 50,000 new residents will call Kelowna home in 2040. To accommodate this growth, the City of Kelowna is currently undergoing an update to our Official Community Plan. We collected feedback from you on ideas for changes in land uses until October 31, 2018.
The City of Kelowna will use this information to help develop a new land use plan that will guide future development. A draft plan will be developed in 2019 and at that time you will be notified if your idea was incorporated.

What type of land is not included in this idea generator? Through the Imagine Kelowna consultation we heard that Kelowna should protect agricultural land and concentrate on growing vibrant urban centres and limit urban sprawl. The City has a Permanent Growth Boundary to focus growth within those boundaries. Therefore, ideas to re-develop agricultural lands or lands outside of the Permanent Growth Boundary are not being considered through this idea generator.
